Who We Are
We are a Messianic Jewish Congregation comprised of Jews and non-Jews
on the North Shore of the Greater New Orleans area.
We believe Yeshua of Natzeret is the Jewish Mashiach. We recognize that the talmidim of Mashiach Yeshua and subsequent followers in the first century (Jews and Non-Jews) were instructed in the teachings of Moses as they met to study together in the synagogues on the Sabbath (Acts 15:21).
As mishpacha, we walk in the Jewish faith of Mashiach Yeshua, following the Torah with kavanah and teaching our children the commands generation to generation. We seek to reach out to the Jew and Non-Jew, not forgetting the poor, the orphan, and the widow.
The heart of Beit Chesed is to love HaShem, our G-D, with all our heart, soul, and might, and to love one another in righteousness as a holy people. In the words of Mashiach Yeshua in John 13:35 - By this all men will know that you are my disciples if there will be love among you one to another.
Furthermore, we believe faith without action is barren. Through in-depth study of the Scriptures along with complimentary Jewish writings for understanding, we learn how to walk out our faith in obedience and bear the fruit of true discipleship. As Mashiach Yeshua instructed in Matthew 28:19-20 - Go therefore, make disciples of all nations and immerse them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Ruach haKodesh. And TEACH them ALL that I have commanded you … Amen.
